About the Role
This is more than just a job — it’s an opportunity to lead from the front in a dynamic, hands‑on environment. You’ll take charge of our pool and sports facilities, ensuring they’re safe, compliant, and welcoming spaces for everyone. You’ll lead and inspire a team of lifeguards, coaches, and activity staff, while also rolling up your sleeves and getting involved in day‑to‑day operations — from lifeguarding to supporting engaging activities. Your focus is on creating inclusive programmes that promote health, independence, and wellbeing for the people we support.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and supporting a team to deliver outstanding, safe services.
- Taking responsibility for facility operations during shifts.
- Acting as a key decision‑maker in emergency situations.
- Overseeing engaging aquatic and sports programmes.
- Embedding a strong culture of safety, safeguarding, and inclusion.
- Ensuring compliance with all health & safety and pool plant standards.
- Supporting staff development, training, and performance.
- Driving continuous improvement through feedback and participation.
What We’re Looking For
- A confident leader with supervisory experience.
- Qualified with an NPLQ and Pool Plant Operator’s Licence or willing to complete.
- Experienced in lifeguarding and sports/activity delivery.
- Calm and decisive under pressure.
- Passionate about inclusive, person‑centred practice.
- A strong communicator who can motivate and develop others.
- Organised, proactive, and solutions‑focused.
- Desirable: coaching/swim teaching qualifications or RLSS supervisor training.
