Due to continued growth and the recent award of a major long-term electrical small works contract, a well-established and highly respected electrical contractor is looking to appoint an Electrical Project Manager / Small Works Manager to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Electrical Supervisor, Electrical Site Manager, or Small Works Manager looking to progress into a Project Management role, while remaining closely involved in project delivery, team leadership, and client relationships.

The role will involve managing a variety of electrical projects ranging from £1,000 to £50,000 across multiple college campuses and educational facilities throughout London, providing a varied and rewarding workload within a secure long-term contract environment.

The Role

This is a predominantly site-based position, with approximately 95% of your time spent across various college campuses and educational facilities throughout London. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple small works projects simultaneously, managing engineers and specialist subcontractors, coordinating resources, liaising directly with clients, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Initially, you will manage a small team of engineers, with the opportunity to build, develop, and expand the team as the contract continues to grow. Projects will typically include electrical installations, upgrades, refurbishments, maintenance works, and minor project works ranging from £1,000 to £50,000 in value.

Requirements

  • Experience as an Electrical Supervisor, Electrical Site Manager, Small Works Manager, Project Manager, or similar role
  • 18th Edition qualification
  • Strong understanding of BS7671 Wiring Regulations
  • Good IT and computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Strong client-facing skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
