A highly regarded M&E Building Services contractor is looking to appoint a Mechanical Estimator or Senior Mechanical Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team in Central London. The business delivers fast-paced commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects across London, typically ranging from £2m to £10m, and has built a strong reputation for quality project delivery, repeat business, and long-standing client relationships within the commercial fit-out sector.

This role offers the opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a secure pipeline of work, a collaborative team environment, and genuine long-term progression opportunities within pre-construction.

The Role

This position can accommodate either an experienced Mechanical Estimator looking to progress further within a high-performing contractor environment, or a proven Senior Mechanical Estimator capable of taking a leading role within the pre-construction team. You will be responsible for pricing mechanical packages across commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects, managing tenders from enquiry through to final submission while working closely with suppliers, subcontractors, operational teams, and senior management. Depending on experience level, the successful candidate may also take responsibility for tender strategy, client engagement, mentoring junior team members, and supporting wider pre-construction activities.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a Mechanical Estimator or Senior Mechanical Estimator within M&E Building Services
  • Strong background delivering commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects
  • Experience pricing mechanical packages typically ranging from £1m to £5m+
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders and work within fast-paced delivery environments
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills

The salary and level of appointment will reflect experience, technical capability, and the level of responsibility the successful candidate can take on within the pre-construction team.
