The Role
You will support the delivery of mechanical building services projects from initial handover through to completion, working closely with senior project managers and directors. Projects are typically located across the South Coast and London, involving a mix of refurbishment and new build works. Typical mechanical packages include plantroom installations, HVAC systems, pipework, and public health services. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone developing within a Project Manager position, with clear progression and increasing responsibility as you gain experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of mechanical projects from pre-construction through to handover
- Support programme planning and ensure projects are delivered on time
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site activities
- Assist with procurement, materials, and logistics
- Support commercial awareness including variations and cost control
- Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams
- Ensure health & safety and quality standards are maintained on site
Requirements
- Currently working as a Mechanical Supervisor, Mechanical Site Manager, Junior Project Manager, or early-stage Mechanical Project Manager
- Strong mechanical building services knowledge (HVAC, pipework, plantrooms, public health)
- Experience delivering projects within commercial or similar sectors
- Looking to progress or further develop within a Project Manager role
- Stable work history demonstrating commitment and reliability
- Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
