This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Approved Electrician or Testing Electrician to join a well-established Electrical Contractor delivering commercial PPM, EICR, and maintenance works across East London and the surrounding areas.

The Role

  • Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) across commercial properties
  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Reactive maintenance and fault finding
  • Electrical installation and remedial works
  • General electrical duties across a range of commercial environments

Work is primarily across East London and surrounding counties, with jobs scheduled efficiently to ensure a structured working day and minimise unnecessary travel. This role offers excellent variety, with a clear emphasis on testing while maintaining exposure to maintenance and installation work, providing a well-rounded and engaging workload.

Working Pattern & Overtime

  • Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (daytime hours).
  • There are strong opportunities to increase earnings through overtime and additional work:
  • Evening work (when required)
  • Saturday work
  • Sunday work paid at x2
  • Callout rota with £100 standby payment

Where evening works are required, hours may be adjusted across the week (for example, condensed into a 4-day working pattern). Realistic earnings of £55,000-£60,000 based on overtime and callout participation.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
  • 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
