The company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical installations across commercial, healthcare, and specialist environments. With a growing pipeline of secured work and a strong leadership team, they offer a stable and supportive environment where engineers are given the opportunity to develop, progress, and take on greater responsibility over time.
The Role
This is a hands-on, site-based role combining air conditioning installation with elements of site supervision. You will be involved in the delivery of AC and mechanical building services installations, while also supporting the coordination of works on site. This role offers a clear pathway into a more senior supervisory or project-based position as you develop within the business.
Typical responsibilities will include:
- Installation of air conditioning systems including splits, VRV/VRF systems, AHUs and associated plant
- Working on commercial and technically varied projects across multiple sectors
- Supporting the supervision and coordination of site activities and labour
- Working alongside Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard
- Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
- Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained on site
- Assisting with problem-solving and day-to-day site coordination
Requirements
- Experience working as an Air Conditioning Engineer, HVAC Engineer, or AC Supervisor within the M&E Building Services sector
- Strong installation background (commercial projects preferred over purely service/FM environments)
- Experience with VRV/VRF systems, splits, and associated plant
- Some exposure to supervising works on site, or a clear desire to step into a supervisory role
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong work ethic and a proactive approach on site
This role would suit candidates currently working as: Air Conditioning Engineer, HVAC Engineer, AC Supervisor, HVAC Supervisor, Mechanical Engineer (AC bias), or Senior AC Engineer.
Remuneration Package
- £42,000 - £50,000
- Company van & fuel card
- Overtime paid (time and a half / double time)
- Tools, plant & equipment provided
- Ongoing training & development (including SMSTS)
- Clear progression into supervisory and project-based roles
Why Apply?
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious AC Engineer to move into a more progressive, project-led environment, or for an existing AC Supervisor to join a growing business where they can continue to develop. The business is looking to invest in individuals who want to build a long-term career, take pride in their work, and contribute to high-quality project delivery. Stability, reliability, and a consistent work history will be highly valued.
