This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a respected M&E Building Services contractor delivering mechanical upgrade and replacement projects within a major data centre environment in Hemel Hempstead.
The employer is a long-established contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical projects across commercial, critical environments and occupied buildings. Their newly developed Data Centre division is experiencing rapid growth, offering long-term opportunities for progression and development.
The Role
You will oversee the delivery of mechanical upgrade, refurbishment and replacement works within a live data centre environment, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing mechanical projects ranging from £100k £3m
- Overseeing mechanical upgrades, replacements and system improvements
- Working within a live, critical environment with strict compliance procedures
- Managing labour, materials, subcontractors and project documentation
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
- Providing ongoing communication with clients and internal teams
- Overseeing works within occupied commercial environments where required
About You
- Mechanical Project Manager or Mechanical Contracts Manager background
- Experience within data centres is beneficial but commercial / occupied building experience is equally considered
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems
- Able to manage multiple workstreams and deliver projects effectively
- Strong communication, organisation and client-facing skills
- £75,000 £85,000 base salary
- £5,000 travel allowance
- 2.5% project performance bonus
