This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced M&E Project Manager, or a strong Mechanical or Electrical Project Engineer ready to step up, to join a growing and well-respected M&E Building Services contractor delivering commercial refurbishment and fit-out projects typically ranging from £100k to £2m.

With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued growth across the South Coast and surrounding areas, this role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of projects while developing within a supportive and forward-thinking business.

The Role

This is a key hire within the business, with a clear objective of strengthening project delivery capability and enabling senior leadership to focus on commercial growth and strategic development. You will take responsibility for managing mechanical and electrical building services projects from initial handover through to completion, ensuring delivery is achieved safely, on programme, and within budget. This role is well suited to either an experienced Project Manager or a capable Project Engineer looking to step into a full Project Management position, with the support and structure in place to make that transition successfully.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing M&E building services projects from pre-construction through to completion
  • Coordinating subcontractors across both mechanical and electrical packages
  • Overseeing programme delivery and ensuring key milestones are achieved
  • Managing client relationships and attending progress meetings
  • Supporting procurement and effective planning of materials and labour
  • Monitoring project costs and supporting commercial performance
  • Ensuring high standards of health & safety and quality are maintained

Requirements

  • Experience at Project Engineer or Project Manager level within M&E Building Services
  • Mechanical or Electrical bias considered
  • Experience delivering commercial M&E projects
  • Confident managing projects day-to-day across both site and operational elements
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple disciplines
  • Stable career history demonstrating commitment, reliability, and progression

This role would suit candidates currently working as: M&E Project Manager, Mechanical Project Manager, Electrical Project Manager, Senior Mechanical Project Manager, Senior Electrical Project Manager, Project Engineer, Mechanical Project Engineer, Electrical Project Engineer, Contracts Engineer.

Remuneration Package

  • M&E Project Manager £65,000-£80,000
