David Leslie Ltd is working with a highly respected and well-established Electrical Building Services Contractor, renowned for delivering high-quality projects in the commercial and office fit-out sectors. With project values typically ranging from £100k to £4m, the company provides a full turnkey service from design through to installation and commissioning. Due to continued business growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their professional and dynamic estimating team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for electrical projects ranging from £100k to £4m
  • Analyse specifications, drawings, and documentation to define project scope and material requirements
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities through value engineering
  • Liaise with project managers and the pre-construction team for accurate and complete cost analysis
  • Evaluate and negotiate bids and quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Maintain and update a comprehensive database of estimates and historical project costs
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of tender documentation and client proposals

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the building services sector
  • Design experience is desirable but not essential
  • Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Relevant electrical qualifications or equivalent industry certification
  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications
