A highly regarded M&E Building Services contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team in Hampshire. The business delivers projects across the commercial, fast-track office fit-out, healthcare, education, industrial, and leisure sectors, with mechanical package values typically ranging from £1m to £5m.
This well-established M&E contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical installations and is known for its collaborative culture, technical expertise, and long-standing client relationships. This role would suit an experienced Mechanical Estimator who enjoys taking ownership of tenders and working within a technically strong contractor environment. You will be responsible for preparing accurate and commercially competitive tenders for mechanical building services projects, pricing full mechanical packages from first principles through to final submission using Ensign estimating software. Projects include HVAC systems, ventilation, pipework, public health services, heating and cooling plant, and plantroom installations across a range of technically demanding building services environments. You will work closely with suppliers, subcontractors, operational teams, and senior management throughout the pre-construction process to help secure profitable and deliverable projects.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Mechanical Estimator within M&E Building Services
- Strong background pricing mechanical installation projects within contractor environments
- Experience using Ensign estimating software would be advantageous
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems, plant, pipework, ventilation, and associated services
- Good commercial awareness and analytical ability
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications and produce detailed tenders
- Strong organisational and communication skills
Remuneration Package:
