This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a highly regarded M&E Building Services contractor delivering fast-paced commercial office fit-out projects across Central London, typically ranging from £250k to £3m.

Working within a Design & Build environment, you will take full ownership of projects from pre-construction through to handover, playing a key role in ensuring programmes are met, technical delivery is coordinated effectively, and client expectations are consistently exceeded.

The Role

As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of mechanical building services projects, from initial design coordination through to commissioning and handover. You will work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing mechanical projects from pre-construction through to completion
  • Coordinating design within a Design & Build environment
  • Managing programmes, sequencing, and site delivery
  • Overseeing subcontractors and site teams
  • Maintaining commercial and contractual control
  • Managing client relationships and stakeholder communication
  • Supporting commissioning, snagging, and final handover

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within M&E Building Services
  • Strong background delivering commercial office fit-out or refurbishment projects
  • Experience working within a Design & Build environment
  • Track record delivering projects typically ranging from £250k to £3m
  • Strong programme management and organisational skills
  • Good commercial awareness and understanding of project financials
  • Stable career history demonstrating consistency and commitment (this role is not suited to frequent job movers)
  • Strong communication skills and client-facing ability
