This role offers the opportunity to join a well-established, family-run building contractor with a strong reputation for quality, long-term client relationships, and a supportive working culture. Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of secured and repeat business, the company is looking to appoint an Estimator to play a key role in securing future projects and supporting the continued success of the business.

Working closely alongside the Directors, you will take ownership of tenders from initial enquiry through to submission, helping shape pricing strategy, identify opportunities, and contribute directly to the growth of the company. Projects typically range from £50k to £2m across the commercial, education, healthcare, residential, refurbishment, and mixed-use sectors.

The Role

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the estimating process, managing tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission. Working closely with the Directors, you will assess project opportunities, obtain subcontractor quotations, prepare accurate cost estimates, identify potential risks, and help secure commercially successful projects.

Requirements

  • Experience within the building construction sector
  • Previous estimating, tendering, pricing, commercial, or project delivery experience
  • Ability to prepare accurate cost estimates and commercially sound tender submissions
  • Good understanding of construction methods, procurement, subcontractor packages, and project delivery
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator who enjoys working closely with Directors, clients, and colleagues
  • Organised, proactive, and capable of managing workload independently

Remuneration Package
