David Fox Transport is an established family run road haulage business operating a modern fleet of vehicles and trailers. Our recently constructed premises includes a purpose built 4 bay workshop, which is an excellent facility.
We are seeking an experienced HGV Fitter/Technician to join our Workshop team. Flexible shift patterns can be offered across both front and back shifts.
Ideal candidates will have the following attributes:
- A good working knowledge of commercial vehicles
- Proven experience of maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles
- Experience of fault diagnosis and repairs using diagnostic equipment such as Jaltest, STAR Xentry, Texa, Haldex.
- Good understanding of DVSA maintenance/road worthiness standards
Responsibilities include:
- Carrying out MOT Inspections and preparations
- Performing regular servicing and inspections
- Routine maintenance and repairs to both trailers and tractor units
Applicants with mechanical experience from a light engineering background are encouraged to apply, as training will be provided.
Remuneration to be discussed at interview and will be commensurate with experience / technical ability.
