DEA is seeking a Transportation Survey Project Manager to join a dynamic team in our Denver, CO office. The primary focus of this position will be to bring excellent service to our transportation clients by pursuing, managing and delivering exceptional quality survey projects that are on time and on budget.
Duties will include:
- Writing proposals, developing and managing project budgets and schedules, and managing all aspects of a project's surveying services.
- Act as the Client Team Representative for survey on the DEA internal CDOT Client Team.
- Follow DEA's proven marketing strategies, develop new and maintain existing client relationships within the Colorado market.
- Serve as the project manager for the projects you work on.
- Work with Geomatics Group and Delivery Leaders to ensure office resources are available to complete existing project work as well as work committed to in proposals.
- Provide surveying leadership and guidance to geomatics staff.
- Adhere to firmwide tools, processes, and policies including project accounting, contracting, and quality requirements.
- Quality control oversight.
- Coordinate with other DEA disciplines and clients.
- Support recruiting and retention efforts to see that DEA hires the best possible talent and supports processes that encourage staff longevity.
- Direct the field and office staff in the performance of their duties, mentor and coach them to advance within the survey profession as their individual abilities allow.
Basic Qualifications:
- Capable of self-managing projects, communicating well with clients and mentoring junior level staff members.
- Licensed Professional Land Surveyor.
- Experience delivering projects for DOT and public agencies.
- Strong computer skills with CAD and Land Surveying software such as: AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation Open Roads, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to work well in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership skills for mentoring and leading staff on Geospatial techniques and principles.

Anticipated salary range for this position is $110,000 - $150,000 depending on experience. Opportunity for growth with support and mentoring to help with professional goals.
