Retail Salesperson

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, helping with technical questions on sewing machines, interpret customer needs and sell the appropriate machine.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for sewing and/or sewing machines ensuring that every customer has a positive experience at David Drummonds.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
• Maintain an organised sales floor by restocking shelves and merchandising products.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills to engage with customers and provide product information.
• Employ time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
• Practice phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries via phone or email.
• Interpret and respond appropriately to customers by understanding their preferences and suggesting the best outcome for the customer.
• Collaborate with team members effectively

Requirements

• Background with sewing machines and/or sewing.
• Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential.
• Strong organisational skills to keep the sales area tidy and well-presented.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and enjoys conversing with people.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week
