David Bailey Furniture Systems is a fitted furniture specialist supplying products across the UK. With a focus on Healthcare and Education, David Bailey's target audience includes NHS estates departments, private healthcare providers, Architects, local authorities, schools, end users and main contractors. Based in Broadstairs, Kent, David Bailey has a streamlined manufacturing facility where every piece of furniture is crafted and meticulously checked before leaving the factory. David Bailey fitted furniture can be ordered as supply only, or on a supply & install basis. Our specialist fitters have vast experience and provide a top-quality installation service.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Depending on location, this position can be office-based or work from home with regular presence in the Kent office. It requires you to arrange and attend meetings with customers on new projects with a requirement for fitted furniture and any additional products. You will assist customers by discussing their project in detail to understand their requirements and make suitable recommendations from David Bailey's range of fitted furniture products. Depending on the information required by the customer, you can then provide a detailed specification for inclusion in their tender documents, or a detailed quotation produced by our Estimating team. For projects already quoted, you will work alongside the internal Sales team to ensure the best level of service is provided to customers and to ensure we have the strongest chance of securing customers' orders. In addition to project focus, you will be tasked with creating and later delivering certified CPD presentations and product seminars to David Bailey's key target audience via video call or in person. Presence in the marketplace and relationships with customers make a considerable difference to our business results and will be your primary focus.

THE ROLE

  • Work alongside and support the project-management-led internal Sales team
  • Identify new business opportunities and fill your diary with project & specification appointments
  • Attend meetings with customers, which result in quality, high-value new quotations and orders
  • Make & deliver CPDs and product seminars to David Bailey's key target audience
  • Spend time on proactive new business generation utilising Barbour ABI, Glenigan & other marketing leads
  • LinkedIn – grow followers, post weekly & share company posts
  • Regular visits to Kent

CANDIDATE PROFILE
This exciting role would suit someone with excellent relationships with customers and knowledge of the healthcare market. Due to the highly technical nature of our target audience, their projects, our products, building regulations and NHS compliance requirements, a technical background, strong attention to detail, and excellent retention skills would be hugely beneficial. The successful person would also:

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the internal sales team in securing orders
  • Ensure relationships with key customers are established and maintained
  • Maintain business relationships with all customer groups
  • Ensure effective territory planning to maximise the use of time when face-to-face appointments are needed
  • Ensure effective communication with internal departments
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of activity and performance
  • Occasional travel and office work outside of usual working hours
  • Other tasks that may be necessary for the smooth running of the business
