International role | UK based with global travel £40,000 to £55,000 per annum Hybrid working (4 days in the office, Shropshire, West Midlands, 1 day remote)
For over sixty years, David Austin Roses has been recognised around the world for breeding some of the most admired roses ever created. Alongside our renowned garden roses, we operate a specialist Cut Roses business, breeding distinctive varieties and partnering with a carefully selected group of licensed growers across Ecuador, Colombia and Kenya. These growers supply the global floral trade, from wholesalers and event florists to leading floral designers and selected D2C brands. Our model is deliberately focused: a small number of long‑term partnerships built on quality, trust and brand integrity.
We are now looking for a Senior Commercial Partnerships Manager – Cut Roses to lead and strengthen these relationships and help shape the next stage of growth for this unique portfolio.
The Role
This is a relationship‑led international commercial role. You will lead day‑to‑day commercial partnerships across our licensed grower network, ensuring strong alignment on quality, positioning, pricing and variety planning while bringing greater clarity to performance and forward planning. Working closely with our Breeding and Marketing teams, you will help coordinate the release of new varieties, gather market insight and represent David Austin Roses within the global floral industry. You will report directly to the Company Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop commercial relationships with licensed growers in Ecuador, Colombia and Kenya
- Maintain the commercial rhythm of the licensing portfolio, including pricing, royalty visibility and variety planning
- Provide clear reporting and commercial insight to support forward decision-making
- Coordinate commercially aligned variety launches with Marketing and Breeding
- Gather market insight from growers and the floral trade and translate it into clear internal recommendations
- Represent David Austin Roses at international trade shows and industry events
- Travel internationally to maintain strong, trusted partnerships
About You
You are commercially grounded, relationship‑led and comfortable operating internationally. You understand how successful B2B partnerships work — where trust, clarity and long‑term alignment matter more than short‑term transactions. You bring the confidence to represent a premium, heritage brand while maintaining commercial discipline and clear performance visibility.
You may bring experience from:
- Horticulture or floriculture
- Wine & spirits or premium FMCG
- Luxury goods
- Specialist B2B distribution or licensing environments
Experience managing strategic commercial partnerships or international licensees will be particularly valuable. Personally, you are credible, organised and commercially thoughtful, with the ability to build lasting relationships across cultures and markets.
Why Join Us
This is a rare opportunity to work with one of the most distinctive brands in horticulture, within a focused international business built on quality, craftsmanship and long‑term partnerships. You will join a thoughtful, collaborative environment where clarity, integrity and long‑term relationships matter. This is an opportunity to shape and strengthen a distinctive global licensing model within a heritage brand entering its next chapter of growth. As the Cut Roses portfolio evolves, there is scope for this role to grow in responsibility and influence for the right individual.
