At David Austin Roses, we've spent more than 60 years creating the world’s most beautiful roses. Today, our brand is trusted by gardeners, garden centres and professional partners around the globe. We’re looking for a Senior B2B Marketing Manager to help grow our trade business while ensuring every customer touchpoint reflects the quality and heritage of the David Austin name. This is a rare opportunity to join a premium, family-owned brand where you’ll work across Wholesale, International Partners and Pro Trade, creating marketing that helps our sales teams succeed and strengthens our presence in garden centres and international markets.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Significant experience in B2B/trade marketing within a premium or lifestyle brand (5+ years with real depth in B2B and trade)
- A track record of supporting sales through toolkits, point-of-sale, launch packs and retail materials that help a variety or collection sell
- A feel for visual merchandising and how a brand shows up in store, with the experience to help us develop this in garden centres
- The ability to speak to trade and consumer audiences with equal ease, translating what makes a rose good into messaging that lands with buyers and gardeners alike
- Genuinely strong organisation and project management skills, able to prioritise across competing demands, work to deadlines and keep several projects, markets and stakeholders on track at once, including the agencies and suppliers who deliver alongside you
- A collaborative, straight-talking way of working with no ego to speak of, communicating clearly and proactively so colleagues and Business Leaders are always kept informed
- Commercial instinct and a strategic eye, able to see where we are, spot the gaps and bring forward ideas worth backing, and comfortable building where there is not yet a settled playbook rather than waiting for the path to be clear
- Is passionate about brand consistency and exceptional execution
- Thrives in a collaborative, hands-on environment
You’ll be responsible for:
- Developing trade marketing campaigns and sales toolkits
- Supporting key account pitches and product launches
- Creating retail-ready POS and merchandising materials
- Managing exhibitions and trade events
- Furthering the David Austin brand internationally, including in markets we only reach through partners, providing localised assets and PR, so they can carry it faithfully, creating demand with their gardeners
- Working closely with sales, creative and digital teams to deliver exceptional marketing
- Undertaking insight work across garden centres and international markets, keeping a close eye on competitors, retail trends and customer behaviour, and feeding what you learn back into campaigns, messaging and sales support
- Running projects to deadline, coordinating our design, copy and imagery and managing the agencies and third-party suppliers who deliver alongside us, so each piece lands on schedule and the Business Leaders always know where things stand
- Keeping momentum and bringing new ideas forward, always looking for ways to make the work better as the trade evolves
Based at our nursery in Albrighton, Shropshire, you’ll be surrounded by the gardens, breeding greenhouses and people that have made David Austin Roses one of the world’s most recognised rose brands.
What we offer:
- Hybrid working (3–4 days on site, ideally 4)
- Annual bonus
- Health cash plan
- Learning and development opportunities
- Industry conferences and events
- Summer and winter team gatherings
If you’re a commercially minded marketer who loves building brands, enabling sales teams and creating marketing that makes a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.
