Primary purpose:

At David Austin Roses, our tearooms are set within one of the world’s most beautiful rose gardens. We pride ourselves on delivering warm hospitality, excellent coffee, and freshly prepared food in a relaxed and welcoming environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic Front of House Supervisor to support the daily operation of our tearooms and help lead our front-of-house team in delivering exceptional service to every guest. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in hospitality, loves great customer service, and thrives in a friendly, fast-paced environment.

Your day to day:

  • Supporting the day-to-day running of our tearooms and ensuring smooth, efficient service
  • Supervising and motivating the front-of-house team to deliver outstanding customer experiences
  • Taking orders and delivering a high standard of beverage and table service
  • Monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and managing inventory to minimise waste
  • Assisting with basic food preparation when required
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, safety and hygiene
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety and food safety procedures
  • Completing and maintaining daily food safety records
  • Ensuring team members follow cash handling procedures
  • Encouraging upselling and positive customer engagement
  • Handling customer enquiries or concerns professionally to ensure excellent guest satisfaction

What you bring to the team:

  • Previous hospitality or café/restaurant supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Friendly, confident, and reliable with a positive attitude
  • A strong team player who enjoys supporting and motivating others
  • Ability to stay organised and calm in a busy environment
  • A genuine passion for hospitality, food and coffee
  • Flexible and willing to support the team where needed
  • Barista experience or training would be an advantage
