We are looking for an organised, proactive and friendly Accounts Administration Assistant to join our team in our Workington office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys supporting others and wants to play an important part in delivering a high level of service to both clients and colleagues.

About the Role

You will support the day‑to‑day running of our Accounts department, working closely with the wider team to help with billing, client records, document production, client onboarding and general administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with departmental billing, sending fees to clients in a timely manner and supporting the team to ensure work is processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Produce letters, invoices, forms and documents; collate information from clients and providers, maintain accurate records, and support routine administration tasks.
  • Communicate with HMRC on behalf of clients when required.
  • Help improve systems, processes and the overall client experience while ensuring all communications are professional, timely and in line with David Allen brand guidelines.
  • Use Word, Outlook and Excel; be comfortable working with IT systems; communicate clearly by telephone, email and letter.

Qualifications

  • Strong numerical skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience in an accountancy firm, a Business Administration qualification or experience using document and record filing systems is beneficial but not essential.
  • Well‑organised, proactive, friendly and professional.
