The Quality Control Technician ensures that all incoming materials, in‑process assemblies, and finished switchgear products meet Davenham’s quality standards and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming goods, in‑process assemblies, and final products against drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Perform visual checks on electrical and mechanical components.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and traceability documentation.
- Identify non‑conformances and escalate issues to relevant teams for resolution.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities.
- Ensure all measuring and test equipment is calibrated and used correctly.
- Assist in the development and review of quality check sheets, SOPs, and inspection criteria.
- Promote a strong culture of quality awareness on the shop floor.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering quality control role.
- Understanding of quality inspection tools (calipers, torque tools, multimeters, etc.).
- Knowledge of ISO9001 requirements desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording data.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
