Qualifications and Training
- Relevantfacilities, caretaking, maintenance, or estates-related qualification - desirable(e.g. IOSH Working Safely or equivalent health and safety training).
- Demonstrableknowledge of health and safety legislation and safe working practices -Desirable.
- Evidenceof ongoing professional development and a commitment to continuedtraining.
- Relevantqualifications or training in pool maintenance β desirable.
Experience
- Experienceworking within premises, estates, caretaking, or site maintenanceenvironments.
- Experiencesupporting and working alongside colleagues, contractors, and externalservice providers.
- Experiencecarrying out routine inspections, maintenance tasks, and site securityduties.
- Experienceassisting with the coordination of maintenance works and reportingdefects.
Skills and Knowledge
- Goodcommunication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to workeffectively with staff, pupils, contractors, and visitors.
- Agood level of ICT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office andmaintenance reporting systems.
- Strongorganisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Goodknowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance requirementsrelevant to school premises.
- Practicalproblem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure whenrequired.
- Abilityto respond flexibly to changing priorities and operational needs.
- Basicunderstanding of building maintenance systems and caretakingresponsibilities.
