The position is warehouse logistics, based in Hartlepool, and will be 30+hrs with an initial 3 month trial period. The position has an immediate start date.
You will be responsible for coordinating the dispatch of domestic shipments working closely with inhouse delivery drivers and office staff to respond quickly to issues regarding shipping. Loading and unloading of vehicles manual handling and heavy lifting involved.
Main responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate deliveries and collections to ensure timely and efficient dispatch, manual handling and heavy lifting is involved
- Investigate late, lost or damaged deliveries working closely with agents to reach a satisfactory conclusion
- Preparation of shipping documents
- Handling telephone calls and emails from customers addressing questions clearly and professionally
- Maintaining and update shipping data ensuring up to date and accurate records
- Ensuring warehouse remains organised and in a tidy condition
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft software applications including databases
- Professional telephone manner and good communication skills
- Strong team player with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Proactive and eager to learn
- Experience would be desirable
- Driving License desirable
- Forklift essential
