We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with Bulk Feed delivery vehicles although full training will be given to the right driver. This role involves transporting animal feed efficiently to various farm locations while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. The successful applicant will be required to work rotating day and night shifts weekly. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of safety. We are running all Scania Tractor units.

Duties:

  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery schedules and minimise delays.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper loading and discharge.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, and any incidents that may occur during transit.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road.

Requirements:

  • Valid commercial driving licence.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with Tipping or Blowing lorries.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
  • Excellent driving skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for record keeping.
  • Good communication skills, you must be able to speak, read and write English for effective interaction with team members and clients.
