Gear Cutter / Thread and Worm Grinder - Day and Night Shifts are available Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Gear Cutter / Thread and Worm Grinder to join our precision engineering team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing and finishing high-precision gears, worms, and threaded components using a range of specialist CNC and manual grinding and gear cutting machines.
The role requires a strong understanding of engineering drawings, precision measurement, and maintaining high quality standards.
Key
Responsibilities: Set up and operate Gleason P60 and Gleason P90 gear cutting machines.
Set up and operate Doimak Thread and Worm Grinders .
Operate Matrix Thread Grinders to produce precision threaded components.
Use a variety of conventional / manual machine tools as required.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Produce gears, worms, and threaded components to tight tolerances.
Select and dress grinding wheels where required.
Perform in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment, including micrometres, verniers, bore gauges, and thread measuring instruments.
Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish to customer specifications.
