Full job description HGV Class 2 Driver – Trade Waste – £19.00ph – Monday to Friday Location: Meriden, Coventry, CV7 7LG Pay: £19.00 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 1:30pm – 11:30pm Job Type: Full-time, ongoing Start: Immediate / ASAP The Role We are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join a busy trade waste operation based in Meriden, Coventry. This is a great opportunity for a Class 2 driver looking for £19.00 per hour, Monday to Friday work and no weekends. You will be responsible for completing scheduled commercial waste collections across the local area, working independently as a single-person crew with no loader required. What’s on Offer? * £19.00 per hour * Monday to Friday * 1:30pm – 11:30pm * No weekend work * Full-time, ongoing position * Weekly pay * Regular commercial waste collections * Single-person operation – no loader required * Opportunity for ongoing work Your Responsibilities * Safely operate a Class 2 waste collection vehicle. * Complete scheduled commercial/trade waste collections. * Work independently as a single-person crew. * Plan and manage your route efficiently. * Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects. * Safely position and collect bins/containers. * Ensure waste collections are completed safely and on time. * Provide professional customer service at collection sites. * Follow Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, health & safety and company procedures. What We’re Looking For * Valid HGV Class 2 / Category C licence. * Valid Driver CPC. * Valid Digital Tachograph Card. * Previous waste or trade waste experience is beneficial. * Experienced Class 2 drivers from other sectors will also be considered. * Comfortable working independently. * Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling. * Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious. * Professional approach with good communication skills.
