About the Role

We welcome applicants at different levels of lift installation experience.

The advertised salary range reflects this flexibility, with remuneration determined by your experience, technical capability and the level of responsibility you can take on within installation projects.

For experienced engineers, this may include independently carrying out complete lift installations through to completion and preparation for testing and handover.

We also welcome applicants with relevant installation experience who are continuing to develop towards that level of responsibility.

As we work across different lift manufacturers and equipment, manufacturer-specific experience is not essential.

We value strong installation fundamentals, the ability to interpret technical information and a willingness to adapt to different equipment and project requirements.

You'll work closely with management and the wider project team, with opportunities to develop your capabilities and take on greater responsibility as DAUTI LIFTS grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Depending on your experience and level of responsibility, your work will include:

  • Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Installing mechanical and electrical lift components correctly.
  • Identifying and resolving installation issues on site.
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship, site organisation and health and safety.
  • Monitoring progress and promptly reporting delays, defects, missing materials or other issues affecting project delivery.
  • Communicating professionally with management, project teams, clients, other trades and fellow engineers.
  • Working effectively both independently and as part of the wider project team.
  • What We’re Looking For

Essential Requirements

  • Previous hands‑on experience in lift installation.
  • Completing full lift installations independently where your experience and competence allow.
  • Ability to read and work from relevant technical drawings and information.
  • Good practical mechanical and electrical installation skills appropriate to your level of experience.
  • Good understanding of site health and safety requirements.
  • Reliable, organised and able to take responsibility for your work.
  • Professional communication and conduct on site.
  • Willingness and ability to work across different lift equipment and manufacturers.
  • Valid right to work in the UK.

Applicants with proven experience completing full lift installations independently will be considered at the appropriate level within the advertised salary range.

  • Advantageous Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Lift Installation or recognised equivalent.
  • Valid CSCS or relevant industry card.
  • Full UK driving licence.

What We Offer

  • Salary & Working Arrangements
  • Salary: £36,000–£52,737 per year, depending on experience, technical capability and level of responsibility.
