Dauntsey House Care Home Ltd is a small care home located in the rural village of Market Lavington. Our unique home, set in the countryside offers round the clock care and support to 21 individuals. We have a dedicated kitchen team who prepare, cook and serve three home made meals a day along with fresh puddings, fruit, cakes and biscuits.

We are currently looking for a new catering assistant to join our team.
As a kitchen assistant your responsibilities would include:
* preparing and serving breakfasts* ensuring all residents have fresh water throughout the day* washing up, loading and unloading the dishwasher* tea trolly rounds serving residents with tea, coffee, fruit etc* assisting the chef with meal preparation* maintaining and cleaning the kitchen and dining area.* preparing items for the next day.* ongoing training
The successful candidate would ideally :
Have experience of working in a kitchen environmentBasic knowledge of food safety although training will be givenBe available to work between 30 and 36 hours a week
Due to the nature of the working environment the following are essential:
The home is CQC registered and all staff members are required to have an Enhanced DBS.
The home is located in a small village just outside Devizes, whilst there is a bus service, this often does not coincide with shift patterns so reliable transport to and from work is essential.
As we offer 24 hour care you will be required to work alternate weekends. The shifts are allocated on a monthly rota, with a normal shift being from 0800 to 1800 (10 Hours).
The home is spread over three floors and you will be required to use the stairs to access all areas of the home. xiskglj
