Requirements
- Experience in working within a data centre environment
- Understanding of data centre systems and infrastructure
- Experience of working with helpdesk systems and client ticket management
- Strong understanding of data centre/server cabling
- In-depth knowledge of hardware concepts and physical component installations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient IT skills, particularly in MS Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint)
- Positive attitude and ability to contribute to team culture
- Good understanding of data centre operations practices (advantageous)
- Experience of structured cabling planning & deployment (advantageous)
- Knowledge of BMS systems and toolsets (advantageous)
- Understanding of server technologies, networking, switching, and routing (advantageous)

Responsibilities
- Assisting with the management of the data centre environment in line with good practice and company policy
- Monitoring and managing our data centre BMS systems (on site and remotely)
- Responding to alerts and incidents in a timely manner
- Managing requests for change and incident tickets within the engineering service desk call queue
- Installing server racking, equipment, and structured cabling as required
- Implementing solutions for new clients and providing technical remote hands service to live clients
- Installing cross connect cables and understanding client‑defined patching plans
- Collecting deliveries, transporting items for clients, and maintaining client delivery inventory lists
- Performing general data centre logistics tasks
- Undertaking any related ad hoc data centre tasks
