We are currently recruiting for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join a digital technology team on an initial 6-month contract. This role is ideal for a Cloud Engineer, Azure Infrastructure Engineer or Azure Platform Engineer with strong experience across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune and Autopilot. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing secure cloud infrastructure while supporting application deployment and ongoing improvements to the cloud platform. This is a hands-on infrastructure role working within a Microsoft cloud environment focused on automation, reliability and performance optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy and manage cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure
  • Automate infrastructure and operational processes using scripting and PowerShell
  • Monitor system performance, availability and security across cloud environments
  • Configure infrastructure to support reliable application deployment
  • Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Ensure cloud environments meet security, governance and compliance standards
  • Identify opportunities to optimise cloud costs and resource utilisation
  • Collaborate with digital teams and system owners across the organisation
  • Maintain documentation for cloud architectures, processes and best practices
