About The Role: We are currently seeking an experienced Sorting Operator / Plant Operator to join a busy industrial gases facility in Bardon, Leicestershire. This is a handsâon operational role ideal for individuals with a strong background in plant or production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate filling equipment for various gases (O2, N2, Ar, CO2, flammable and nonâflammable gases) into cylinders at high pressure.
- Handle and move cylinders using a forklift truck and other equipment.
- Conduct quality checks and analysis on products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Complete process documentation accurately and legibly.
- Load and unload pallets and trucks, inspect and label cylinders, and perform minor repairs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment in line with safety and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift truck licence (essential).
- Previous experience in a similar operational or industrial role.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and quality standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working with cryogenic and nonâcryogenic systems.
Additional Information: You'll be working with a variety of equipment including pumps, vaporizers, gas analyzers, and computerised systems. The role involves physical work and requires attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety.
