The Role
This is a senior position supporting the delivery of electrical installation packages across complex projects. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Principal Electrical Engineers, subcontractors and clients, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest quality standards. You’ll be involved across all key project stages including health & safety, procurement, programme management, site coordination, quality assurance and technical oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support across multiple projects covering safety, procurement, project control, quality and site activities
- Support the delivery of electrical packages within highly regulated environments
- Work collaboratively with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams
- Assist in preparing and monitoring construction programmes and project progress
- Maintain strong cost control and support commercial evaluations
- Coordinate procurement schedules and subcontractor activities
- Support site management activities including Duty Holder responsibilities
- Review RAMS and ensure high-risk activities are properly controlled
- Oversee electrical installation works and ensure compliance with current standards and legislation
- Carry out inspections, snagging reviews and testing checks in a Qualified Supervisor capacity
- Promote and maintain high standards of health & safety, quality and workmanship
- Contribute towards achieving zero accidents and zero customer complaints
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installations including 2391 ONC/HNC in Building Services or Electrical Engineering (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and installation works
- Knowledge of BMS control systems
- Understanding of electrical standards, best practice and workmanship requirements
- SMSTS qualified
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Good understanding of CDM Regulations
- Experience working within pharmaceutical, healthcare, laboratory or cleanroom environments
- Ability to understand design principles and manage minor design changes
- Experience delivering turnkey projects is advantageous
- IT literate with experience using Microsoft Office and Project
- Familiarity with industry software such as Amtech, Dialux, Navisworks and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of mechanical services would be beneficial
- Minimum 10 Years’ Industry Experience
