We are currently supporting a client in their search for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. In recent years, the Quantity Surveying team reduced from four members to one due to a period of lower workloads, with no immediate need to replace outgoing staff. However, with several new key projects recently secured, they now have an immediate requirement and the potential for up to two permanent hires as the team rebuilds.

This role would suit a Quantity Surveyor with an MEP background and approximately 4+ years of experience, who is capable of supporting and ultimately leading a £11m cleanrooms project, with guidance from senior colleagues. Candidates do not need to currently hold a senior title – those with fewer years of experience but strong potential are encouraged to apply, while more experienced applicants will also be considered.

As the team grows, this presents an excellent opportunity to join at an early stage, develop professionally, and become an integral part of the business, with clear opportunities for progression into senior and lead-level responsibilities.

Client Specialisation:

  • NHS and healthcare
  • Biopharmaceutical and life sciences
  • Microelectronics and high-tech manufacturing
  • Other specialist industrial environments

The role will be primarily office-based in Manchester, with regular travel to sites across the UK. Current project locations include Plymouth and Oxford.

Key Requirements:

  • Approximately 4–6 years of industry experience
  • Background in MEP / Building Services
  • Experience within commercial, industrial, or HVAC projects
  • Understanding of basic electrical principles
  • Ability to manage project costs and support delivery across multiple sites

Package:

  • Salary typically in the region of £50,000–52,000, negotiable depending on experience
  • Standard benefits package, including pension and death-in-service scheme
