Cheshire | £38,000–£50,000 | Full-time, Office-Based

If you’re an experienced CAD Designer who wants consistent, well-structured work rather than constant firefighting, this role will suit you. We’re a long-standing facade/glazing business with steady workloads, realistic deadlines and a team that values accuracy over rushing. With a senior designer retiring, we’re looking for someone who wants a stable, long-term position with proper technical input.

What you’ll work on:

  • Producing clear, accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for facade and glazing systems.
  • Interpreting architectural/engineering information and turning it into workable designs.
  • Developing and refining details — not just tracing or reworking templates.
  • Checking drawings for consistency, tolerances, compliance and buildability.
  • Working directly with engineers and the shop floor to resolve technical questions.

Why CAD Designers join us (and stay):

  • Solid, predictable workflow — not last-minute design panic every day.
  • Technical involvement rather than just redrawing instructions.
  • A small team where CAD is respected and listened to.
  • Practical communication with people who understand fabrication and installation.
  • A retiring designer means your workload is established, documented and ready for handover.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong CAD experience, ideally in facades, glazing, curtain walling, aluminium systems or similar.
  • Confident AutoCAD user; Inventor/3D experience welcome.
  • Someone who likes solving technical problems, not just producing drawings.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural and structural information.
  • A methodical, detail-driven approach.

What you get:

  • £38,000–£50,000 depending on experience.
  • Company pension.
  • Free onsite parking and a straightforward, casual working environment.
  • Hours: Mon–Thu 9:00–17:00, Fri 9:00–16:00.
  • Immediate start available and full support during the handover.
