We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our friendly and supportive office team based in Old Swan, Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in accounts administration, payroll support, and general office administration who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and taking ownership of a varied workload.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable & Supplier Management
    • Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and subcontractor applications.
    • Obtain engineer approvals and authorise invoices for payment.
    • Investigate and resolve supplier and subcontractor queries.
    • Reconcile supplier statements and creditor reports.
    • Prepare end-of-month payment runs and priority payment schedules.
    • Match purchase invoices to remittances for filing and scanning.
  • Payroll & CIS Administration
    • Process weekly timesheets and verify attendance and hours worked.
    • Administer CIS payments and related documentation.
    • Process new starters, leavers, holiday pay, bank holiday pay, and pension contributions.
    • Upload wages and payments to online banking systems.
    • Prepare employee expense schedules for payroll processing.
  • Employee Administration
    • Maintain employee holiday records and issue relevant documentation.
    • Coordinate employee recognition activities, including birthday cards.
    • Produce and distribute job transaction reports for engineers.
  • Financial Administration & Reporting
    • Manage monthly sales invoices and internal recharges.
    • Process company credit card expenses and maintain expenditure records.
    • Update nominal ledger analysis spreadsheets and cost reports.
    • Add and maintain direct debit records within the accounting system.
    • Provide cover for MSD account administration when required.
  • Office & Operational Support
    • Order office stationery, kitchen supplies, and other consumables.
    • Provide general administrative and financial support to the accounts and operations teams.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in an accounts administration or finance administration role.
  • Knowledge of purchase ledger/accounts payable processes.
  • Experience supporting payroll and/or CIS administration.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
