Our client is seeking a Control Engineer responsible for the design, development, and testing of control systems and components. The role involves close collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams to ensure seamless integration, while maintaining compliance with client specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and BOMs using Eplan 8 CAD software.
- Evaluate client requirements and deliver technical solutions in line with specifications.
- Develop SCADA, HMI, and PLC software using WinCC Professional, Allen Bradley, and Siemens platforms.
- Ensure all control systems meet safety standards, including ET200iSP and 1734-Safety systems.
- Produce and maintain detailed design documentation, including FAT, IQ, and OQ documents.
- Support the preparation of technical sales proposals.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, and process teams to integrate control systems into product designs.
- Provide technical support to the assembly team during testing phases.
- Occasionally support IQ/OQ activities on client sites.
- Maintain awareness of GAMP5 principles and V-Model methodologies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong experience with control systems design and development.
- Proficient in Eplan 8 and AutoCAD software.
- Skilled in Siemens and Allen Bradley control platforms.
- Strong problem-solving, organisational, and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Working Conditions
- Office-based role with occasional work in the assembly area.
- Some travel to client sites and occasional international travel required.
