We are recruiting for a Document Controller / Administrator to join a well-established organisation operating within a regulated, technical environment. This role combines document control responsibilities with the delivery of a comprehensive administrative support service across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong administrative background who is looking to develop their career within document control, as full training will be provided where required.
The Role
You will support the management of documentation processes while also providing day-to-day administrative support to ensure smooth site operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Document Control Duties
- Supporting the maintenance of the electronic document management system
- Managing document storage, retrieval, and version control
- Supporting document transmittal processes in line with internal and regulatory requirements
- Assisting with system updates and testing changes before deployment
- Acting as a key point of contact for document system users, resolving queries and logging issues
- Supporting internal and external meetings on document management matters
- Coordinating equipment shipping using external courier services
- Providing general office and administrative support
- Booking travel arrangements including flights, rail, taxis, car hire, and accommodation
- Greeting visitors and managing site sign-in processes in line with safety and security procedures
- Managing conference room bookings using electronic diary systems
- Organising catering, buffet lunches, and departmental hospitality
- Creating and maintaining structured filing systems
- Supporting wider Site Services activities to ensure smooth business operations
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 3 years’ administrative experience, ideally within a technical or engineering environment
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems
- Experience working in a process-driven or regulated environment
- Previous document control experience would be beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided
- Good standard of education (A Level, HND, or equivalent)
- Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance (SC)
