Generate qualified pipeline for Datox through thoughtful outreach and discovery. You will engage compliance, regulatory reporting, operations, and finance teams within investment and asset management firms facing recurring regulatory pressure.
About Datox
No one builds a business hoping to spend hours dealing with regulatory reporting. But for investment firms and financial institutions, compliance is not optional. It is essential. Yet, most reporting tools still feel like outdated spreadsheets wrapped in dashboards. They are slow, brittle, and disconnected from the real world complexity that regulated businesses face today. Teams are left juggling formats, tracking requirements across jurisdictions, and hoping they have not missed a critical detail that could lead to fines, delays, or reputational risk. At Datox, we are on a mission to change that. We help investment and asset management firms simplify and automate their regulatory reporting across the UK, EU, and beyond, using a platform powered by AI, built for collaboration, and designed for humans. We are a growing, venture backed team of designers, engineers, product thinkers, and domain experts driven by one belief: regulatory work should not feel like punishment. With the right tools, it can be streamlined, intuitive, and empowering. Join us as we build the future of regulatory reporting.
The Role
We are seeking a Sales Development Representative to help build predictable, high quality pipeline by reaching the teams who feel the friction of recurring regulatory reporting cycles. You will research the right accounts, engage prospects with relevant and credible messaging, and qualify opportunities for the sales team. The goal is simple: start better conversations, with the right people, for the right reasons. Success in this role means consistently creating well qualified opportunities, earning trust with senior stakeholders, and contributing to a repeatable and reliable pipeline for Datox.
What You’ll Do
- Build targeted prospect lists across investment and asset management firms with ongoing regulatory reporting obligations
- Research accounts and stakeholders to personalise outreach and improve relevance
- Write clear, thoughtful outreach that speaks to operational and regulatory outcomes, not product slogans
- Run qualification calls to understand reporting workflows, current tools, regulatory obligations, and pain points
- Book high quality meetings for Account Executives, with clear notes, context, and rationale
- Track activity and outcomes in CRM, keeping data accurate and well maintained
- Work closely with Marketing to test messaging, segments, and outreach sequences
- Bring insights back from the market, including what is changing, what is stuck, and what triggers action
- Take ownership of your patch from initial research through to qualified handover
You’re a fit if you have:
- 2 to 5 years experience in SDR, BDR, or outbound focused roles, or equivalent experience demonstrating similar skills
- Strong written communication and confidence speaking with senior stakeholders in regulated environments
- Curiosity and resilience, with a clear preference for quality over volume
- Good commercial judgement on what represents a real opportunity versus noise
- Strong organisation and follow up habits
- Comfort having considered, credible conversations rather than transactional sales calls
Bonus Points
- Experience selling into investment management, asset management, or financial services
- Experience with SaaS
- Familiarity with compliance, regulatory reporting, or data operations
- Experience qualifying complex, multi stakeholder buying processes
- Comfort learning technical concepts and translating them into clear, plain English
