Datheos is building the infrastructure for a future where individuals can prove who they are, control their personal data, and securely interact with organisations without repeatedly surrendering sensitive information. Today, identity is fragmented. People constantly upload copies of passports, driving licences, proof of address and personal information to hundreds of companies — creating unnecessary exposure, increasing fraud risk, and giving individuals little control over their own data. Datheos is changing this. We are building a privacy-first digital identity platform that enables individuals to:

  • Verify their identity once and reuse it securely
  • Control what information they share and with whom
  • Prove specific facts without exposing unnecessary personal data
  • Authenticate across services using a trusted digital identity
  • Own their credentials rather than relying on centralised platforms

Our technology combines modern identity standards, secure authentication, privacy-preserving data sharing and digital credentials to create a trusted identity layer for the next generation of digital services.

The Opportunity

Identity is becoming one of the biggest challenges facing the digital economy. Governments are introducing digital identity frameworks. Banks and fintechs are fighting increasing fraud. Businesses need stronger customer verification. Consumers are demanding more privacy and control. The infrastructure connecting these worlds does not yet exist. Datheos aims to become the trusted identity layer that allows individuals, businesses and institutions to interact securely in a digital-first world.

The Role

We are looking for a Commercial & Strategic Co-Founder to join the founding team and help transform Datheos from a working technology platform into a category-defining company. This is an equity-based founding role for someone who wants to build, not simply advise. You will work directly with the founder to shape:

  • Regulatory relationships
  • Company growth strategy

You will become the commercial counterpart to the technical/product founder.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who has built relationships, raised capital, and understands how to take complex infrastructure products to market. You may be a strong fit if you have experience in:

  • Raising venture capital, private investment or strategic funding
  • Building investor pipelines and managing fundraising processes
  • Creating compelling investor narratives and pitch materials
  • Working with angels, family offices, VCs or strategic investors
  • Selling or partnering with regulated organisations
  • Building relationships with: Banks, Governments, Identity providers, Enterprise technology companies

Strategic Growth

Taking early-stage products from prototype to adoption, identifying early markets and customers, and building partnerships that create network effects.

Ideal Background

You might come from:

  • Identity technology
  • Fintech
  • Banking
  • Cybersecurity
  • RegTech
  • Payments
  • Digital infrastructure
  • Web3 / decentralised technology

Previous startup experience is highly valuable. Experience working in regulated environments is a strong advantage.

What Matters More Than Your Job Title

We are not looking for someone who simply has impressive credentials. We are looking for someone who can answer:

  • Who should Datheos partner with first?
  • Who should invest in this company?
  • What market should we dominate initially?
  • How do we turn identity infrastructure into a global business?
  • How do we build trust with enterprises and users?

Your Responsibilities

As Co-Founder, you will:

  • Define and execute Datheos' commercial strategy
  • Lead investor conversations and fundraising activities
  • Build strategic partnerships
  • Identify early adopter markets
  • Develop enterprise relationships
  • Shape pricing and business models
  • Help build the founding team

What We Already Have

Datheos is not just an idea. The platform already includes:

  • A digital identity wallet
  • Identity verification workflows
  • Privacy-preserving credential sharing
  • Consent-based data sharing architecture

The technology foundation exists. The next challenge is turning infrastructure into adoption.

What Will You Receive

Founding equity (negotiated based on experience and commitment), the opportunity to shape a company from the earliest stage, direct influence over strategy, culture and execution, the opportunity to build foundational infrastructure for the digital identity economy, and potential transition into a funded executive role following investment.

Who Should Apply?

You should apply if you believe:

  • Identity should belong to individuals, not platforms
  • Privacy and convenience should not be opposing forces
  • The future of the internet requires trusted identity infrastructure
  • Building foundational technology is more exciting than joining an established company

Bonus Experience

Strong advantages include:

  • Successful fundraising track record
  • Experience with identity/KYC platforms
  • Government or regulatory relationships
  • Banking or fintech partnerships

Datheos is building the trust layer for the digital world. We are looking for someone who wants to build it with us.
