Duties and Responsibilities

- Continuously monitors network performance, identifies bottlenecks or potential issues, and makes informed recommendations to enhance network quality and reliability.
- Creates and manages user accounts, provides first‑line support, and resolves network‑related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
- Ensures robust network security, investigates incidents, and remediates faults in accordance with security protocols and best practices.
- Produces comprehensive operational documentation and delivers ongoing support and training for users to ensure efficient system utilisation.
- Resolves hardware maintenance tickets, performs diagnostics, and conducts repairs on networking and server equipment.
- Deploys, configures, and maintains servers, storage solutions, and networking infrastructure across multiple UK data centres.
- Executes secure decommissioning projects, including data sanitisation and hardware disposal in compliance with industry regulations.
