The company DataX Connect have partnered with a leading general contractor in their search for a Mechanical Lead to deliver a major data centre in Portugal. Our client specialises in building large, complex data centres across the UK and Europe and have a very strong pipeline of work over the next 5 years.
Flights (10/4 rotation), accommodation and living allowance on top of basic salary. Tax relief also available.
- To align Mechanical activities so they are completed in a safe manner ensuring the Health and Safety of all stakeholders is kept to the forefront of any decisions made or works executed.
- To have a full working knowledge of the project mechanical systems and equipment and to track systems installation to ensure it is compliant with specification and program needs.
- To understand project specific commissioning requirements and to assist in the development of project specific Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs).
- To complete site quality inspections of the mechanical & CSA works to ensure the installation conforms to relevant requirements.
- To coordinate that rooms and areas meet the relevant MEP Quality standards and requirements for advanced Beneficial Use in line with the master construction program.
- To ensure stakeholders receive clear information needed to progress systems installation such that it allows for works progression in line with the master construction program.
You will have:
- A Mechanical Engineering Degree or relevant trade background.
- Knowledge and experience delivering BMS Systems.
- 5 Years + experience delivering complex mechanical packages, preferably within data centres.
- Excellent communication with stakeholders at all levels.
- Advanced IT skills.
