A leading global consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale hyperscale data centre projects in Norway. This is a key leadership role overseeing Mechanical, Electrical, and MEP systems across the full project lifecycle—from design coordination through to installation, commissioning, and handover—ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and programme delivery on complex, high-value developments.
You will take ownership of MEP delivery across all phases, coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces, ensuring compliance with design intent and industry standards, and driving progress across site activities. The role will involve close collaboration with contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders, alongside proactive risk management, programme tracking, and recovery planning where required. A strong focus will be placed on commissioning activities, including Integrated Systems Testing (IST), ensuring seamless project completion and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities- Lead MEP delivery across design, construction, commissioning, and handover phases
- Provide technical oversight and ensure compliance with design intent, standards, and regulations
- Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, and wider project interfaces
- Monitor progress, manage risks, and support programme recovery strategies where required
- Oversee commissioning activities including Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
- Lead coordination meetings with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and accountability
- 5+ years’ experience delivering Mechanical or Electrical systems on data centre or mission-critical projects
- Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, including power distribution, UPS, standby generation, and controls
- Proven experience in commissioning and IST environments
- Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English; additional European languages advantageous
