DataX Connect are seeking a Lead Planner to oversee project planning and scheduling activities for a major hyperscale data centre development. This role is critical in ensuring accurate programme control, progress monitoring, and strategic planning across all project phases from pre-construction through commissioning and handover.

The successful candidate will work closely with project leadership, discipline leads, commercial teams, and subcontractors to maintain robust and accurate schedules that support delivery certainty on a fast-paced, high-value mission-critical project. Flights (10/4 rotation), accommodation and living allowance on top of basic salary. Tax relief also available.

Planning & Programme Management
  • Develop, manage, and update the master project schedule using industry-standard planning tools (Primavera P6).
  • Establish baseline programmes and monitor progress against key milestones.
  • Produce detailed construction, MEP, and commissioning schedules, ensuring integration of all disciplines.
  • Implement schedule control mechanisms to identify variances, delays, and opportunities for optimisation.
  • Conduct regular critical path analysis and scenario modelling to support key project decisions.
Coordination & Reporting
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineering teams, commercial teams, and subcontractors to gather progress updates.
  • Lead weekly planning meetings and coordinate short-term lookahead schedules with work package owners.
  • Provide clear reporting on programme performance including earned value analysis, progress curves, and schedule risk assessments.
  • Prepare high-quality executive-level reports for internal stakeholders and project leadership.
Risk, Change & Integration
  • Identify schedule risks early and work with project teams to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Integrate design, procurement, logistics, construction, and commissioning activities into a unified programme.
  • Assess the impact of change orders, design revisions, and supply chain issues on the overall project schedule.
  • Maintain all planning documentation in line with company standards and project governance processes.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 7+ years of planning experience within large-scale construction, preferably in data centres, mission critical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or industrial projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 (essential) and/or Asta Powerproject.
  • Strong understanding of CSA, MEP, commissioning and multi-disciplinary project sequencing.
  • Experience working with fast-track, high-value construction programmes.
