An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shift Lead to join a data centre environment in the Docklands area. The role involves overseeing shift engineers, ensuring smooth site operations, and maintaining critical infrastructure to high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical & Operational Support
- Act as the first point of contact for engineers requiring technical support.
- Receive and complete PPM tasks via the site’s maintenance management system.
- Carry out diagnostic analysis and fault-finding across critical systems.
- Perform visual inspections and submit reports on equipment condition or reliability concerns.
- Complete all electronic and paper-based records, ensuring accurate and compliant logbook documentation.
- Ensure maintenance consumables are stocked and replenished to agreed levels.
- Execute general maintenance, housekeeping and plant room cleaning to maximise equipment life.
- Respond promptly to client requests and support emergency call-outs when required.
- Monitor and report on the performance of subcontractors when applicable.
- Maintain plant areas to a clean and tidy standard at all times.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across site operations.
- Follow all Health & Safety safe working procedures and environmental requirements.
- Report hazards, omissions, or risks that could impact safe working conditions.
- Support compliance across all site processes and documentation.
- Assist with breakdowns and corrective works as required.
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Contract Manager.
Hours of Work
12-hour shifts, Continental shift pattern (days & nights)
