We’re supporting a major client-side team in Berlin and are looking for an experienced BMS Manager to play a key role in the delivery of a hyperscale 140MW data centre development. This opportunity is ideal for a highly capable Building Management Systems (BMS) professional with a strong track record delivering large-scale data centre or mission-critical projects, and the ability to lead BMS delivery from installation and integration through to testing, commissioning, and final handover. This is a high-profile, client-facing role, suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and can confidently manage contractors, specialist vendors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
The Role
As BMS Manager, you will take ownership of all BMS-related activities across the project, ensuring systems are designed, installed, integrated, tested, and commissioned in line with programme, quality, and operational requirements. Working closely with MEP, Electrical, Mechanical, CSA, and Commissioning teams, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless system integration and operational readiness across this flagship facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all BMS-related project activities on-site
- Manage BMS contractors, controls vendors, and specialist supply chain partners to drive programme delivery
- Coordinate interfaces between BMS, MEP, CSA, and commissioning teams
- Review technical submissions, controls architecture, points schedules, and ensure compliance with project requirements
- Support programme management, risk mitigation, and project reporting
- Drive quality assurance, testing, and health & safety standards across all BMS works
- Oversee system integration, functional testing, IST, and commissioning activities to ensure operational readiness
- Work closely with consultants, stakeholders, and delivery teams to resolve issues and maintain project momentum

- Strong experience as a BMS Manager / Controls Manager / BMS Project Manager on major projects
- Proven data centre or mission-critical project delivery experience
- Strong understanding of BMS controls, integration, commissioning, and critical environments
