Head of Site Selection – European Data Centre Platform
London-based (with European scope)
A rare opportunity to join a newly launched, well-capitalised data centre platform at the very beginning of its journey. This is not a typical corporate environment: it’s a high-energy, entrepreneurial platform with the financial strength and strategic freedom to move fast. The focus is on identifying and converting industrial facilities and industrial-zoned land into high-performance, power-ready campuses that will support the next wave of AI and cloud growth.
The Role
As Head of Site Selection & Development, you will lead the charge in sourcing and securing the sites that define the platform’s future.
- Build and manage a pan-European pipeline of viable industrial and power-adjacent assets.
- Oversee acquisition, evaluation, and due diligence, from zoning and grid access through to development potential.
- Work closely with technical and commercial peers to align location strategy with customer needs and infrastructure design.
- Engage with utilities, regulators, and local authorities to secure grid capacity and development approvals.
- Help shape the platform’s growth strategy and market entry plans across multiple European countries.
This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, scale-up environment, who combines technical understanding with commercial sharpness, and who wants to build a platform, not just a portfolio.
About You
- Proven experience sourcing and developing data centre or industrial sites in Europe.
- Deep knowledge of power infrastructure, grid connectivity, and planning processes.
- A strong network across brokers, utilities, and development partners.
- The ability to navigate multiple jurisdictions and deliver at pace.
- A hands‑on, entrepreneurial mindset; you enjoy creating, not inheriting.
- The drive to build something extraordinary, with leaders who are shaping the next generation of European digital infrastructure.
The Opportunity
This is a chance to help build one of Europe’s most exciting new data centre platforms from the ground up, combining the agility of a start‑up with the capital strength of an institutional investor. You’ll be part of a founding leadership team with the freedom to act quickly, the ambition to grow fast, and the vision to redefine how power, land, and infrastructure come together to support Europe’s AI and cloud revolution.
