DataX Connect are currently seeking a Global Head of Commissioning for a global leader within building hi-tech facilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage and support our mechanical/HVAC commissioning teams across our global project fleet and ensure standardization in our approach.
- Provide clients with reduced risk and predictable completion of their facility in line with the agreed program, ensuring absolute operational readiness of mission critical systems.
- Act as a Mechanical/HVAC subject matter expert (SME) in mission critical systems commissioning and operation.
- Interpret all design documentation and ensure the facility operates within the parameters outlined by the customer and design team.
- Support teams in alignment of testing and commissioning to stringent safety requirements.
- Define scope and provide clear direction to execute to completion.
- Ensure project setup and execution framework is aligned to internal best practice.
- Plan, schedule & tag forecasting.
- Offer comprehensive guidance to all stakeholders regarding the commissioning process.
- Manage FWT with a clear strategy and carry over work risk management.
- Provide a commissioning and completion strategy for each asset from planning to handover.
- Implement strategies based on lean management principles.
- Visualize, explain and manage construction completions and pre-commissioning strategies execution.
- Organise equipment & system completion through technical validation workshops.
- Plan system completion boundaries, cabling completion techniques, commissioning package development and delivery.
- Adopt an agile approach to delivery, providing technical solutions when facing challenges.
- Involved in commissioning plan development to ensure project alignment to pre-agreed electrical commissioning strategies.
- Ensure all project deliverables are clearly aligned with customer requirements from the beginning.
- Work with all stakeholders to ensure efficient contributions to the commissioning process.
- Manage the documentation process to ensure a robust foundation for commissioning.
- Support project teams to deliver detailed packages of scope effectively and efficiently.
- Plan completions from right to left with a clear end goal and strategy for delivery.
- Set clear milestones and logical start-up sequences for equipment commissioning.
- Audit commissioning resource loading and ensure project teams have required competency.
- Co-ordinate and align with QA/QC team to meet commissioning and quality program objectives.
- Make data driven decisions using the completion system to monitor project health and risk closely.
- Manage vendor/contractor collaboration and build a strong working culture.
- Demonstrate technical writing expertise in scripts, test documentation, and other deliverables.
- Engage in quality planning with the Quality Manager and project stakeholders.
- Exhibit hands-on experience and a get-it-done attitude.
