A leading provider of data centre and digital infrastructure solutions is expanding its European operations and now seeks a Technical Solutions Consultant to join its team. This is a pivotal, client-facing role supporting both technical solution design and the long-cycle consultative sales process. This position is ideal for individuals with a blend of technical understanding, customer-facing skills, and the ability to guide clients through complex solution decisions. The organisation is open on background—M&E, data centre, IT infrastructure, manufacturers, installation or solutions-led environments—but some DC exposure is required.
The Opportunity
As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will act as the technical authority throughout the engagement cycle—working closely with sales, engineering, and delivery teams to understand requirements, design solutions, and support clients through a detailed and often long sales process. You will contribute to both technical excellence and commercial success, ensuring solutions meet client needs while remaining operationally and financially robust. Key Responsibilities
- Engage with new and existing customers to understand technical and business requirements
- Develop and present tailored solution proposals, including technical specifications and commercial models
- Provide technical expertise during client meetings, bids, and presentations

Requirements
Technical & Commercial Skills
- Strong technical acumen across data centre or IT infrastructure (M&E or IT backgrounds considered)
- Experience in technical consulting, pre-sales, solution design or similar (ideally 3+ years)
- Ability to support a long, consultative sales cycle rather than fast-turn transactional work
- Clear, persuasive communicator with strong presentation skills
- Ability to build trust-based relationships with clients and internal teams
- Understanding of relevant H&S regulations, CDM, and safe working practices
