Overview The organization is a global construction consultancy with a strong focus on data centres and mission-critical projects , delivering complex, high-value solutions for clients worldwide. The ideal candidate will have pre- and post-contract skills that can be adapted, with support, to any sector within the consultancy\’s portfolio. In addition, the individual will be expected to contribute to business development by nurturing existing relationships and exploring new client opportunities.Key Responsibilities Lead by example, providing effective strategies and outcomes.Offer direction and cohesion in team building and leadership.Ensure submission of high-quality documents to clients on time and to scope.Uphold business processes and systems, ensuring adherence by the team.Streamline operations and implement business improvement initiatives to meet KPIs.Cultivate client relationships, secure repeat business, and introduce new revenue streams.Focus on delivering solutions rather than problems.Support and mentor team members, fostering collaboration and teamwork.Maintain excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills, facilitating open communication with clients, design teams, and contractors.Provide pre- and post-contract quantity surveying and commercial support across projects and programs.Apply knowledge of contract conditions, estimating, cost and budget management, contract administration, and expenditure management.Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, interpersonal, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills through project delivery.Drive internal and client KPIs, delivering efficiencies, value engineering, and safety performance.Manage tight deadlines while maintaining quality output, prioritizing effectively, and communicating with diverse stakeholders.Possess a working knowledge of standard contracts, including NEC, along with experience in commercial and contract management.Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Proven experience in cost management, procurement, and commercial strategy on complex construction projects.Skilled in bid analysis, executive reporting, and delivering high-value insights to stakeholders.Experienced in leading multidisciplinary teams and achieving project and business objectives.Commercially astute, able to identify risks, negotiate effectively, and deliver sustainable solutions.Motivated leader with excellent communication skills, fostering client relationships and supporting the development of junior team members.Familiarity with data centre and mission-critical projects is highly desirable.The consultancy fosters a purpose-driven, diverse team committed to continuous learning and professional growth.Provides opportunities for rapid progression and meaningful responsibilities in a dynamic environment.Offers ongoing training and personal development to support a long-term, successful career.Flexible schedules and remote work opportunities support work-life balance.Competitive pay and benefits, with a culture that encourages autonomy and innovation.Seniority level DirectorEmployment type Full-timeJob function Project Management and Business DevelopmentIndustries Construction and Business Consulting and Services
