Hybrid, 2 days per week in London office £75k-£95k + Bonus on performance. Dataworks is partnering with a major international consumer technology business that is investing heavily in how AI is used across its commercial organisation. They are looking for an AI Transformation Manager to take ownership of the AI agenda across a complex, high-volume business spanning digital products, customer experience, marketing and commercial operations. This is not a pure strategy, governance or project-management role. The focus is on identifying where AI can genuinely improve the business, turning those opportunities into practical use cases, and then helping take them from idea → proof of concept → implementation → adoption.
THE ROLE
- You’ll sit within a small transformation team with broad exposure across the organisation, working with teams including Product & Technology, Marketing, Commercial, Data, Finance.
- You’ll become a central point of contact for AI initiatives across the commercial organisation, helping senior stakeholders understand what is possible, where to prioritise investment and how to turn AI capabilities into measurable business outcomes.
- You’ll manage a lean team of hands-on data experts (Data Scientist, ML Engineer, Data Engineer).
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the AI opportunity pipeline.
- Identify business problems and processes where AI can drive commercial value, improve efficiency or enhance customer experiences.
- Work with stakeholders to structure and prioritise opportunities based on impact, feasibility and strategic importance.
- Lead AI initiatives from early exploration and proof of concept through to implementation and scaled adoption.
- Bridge business and technology by translating complex commercial problems into clear technical use cases.
- Ensure AI is actually used by embedding new tools and capabilities into everyday workflows, educating teams and improving how colleagues use AI in their day-to-day roles.
- Influence senior stakeholders across a large organisation with multiple teams, priorities and stakeholders.
YOUR PROFILE
- Experience in areas such as AI transformation, Applied AI / GenAI, Technology transformation, AI product or innovation, Change Management, Automation / operational transformation.
- Strong understanding of modern AI technologies and their practical applications.
- Experience identifying and implementing AI use cases.
- Experience working within a complex organisation.
- Strong commercial judgement and ability to prioritise opportunities.
- Ability to communicate comfortably with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.
- Experience taking initiatives from concept through to implementation.
- Strong stakeholder-management and influencing skills.
- An experimental mindset and willingness to test, iterate and learn quickly.
You do not need to be a software engineer, but you should be technically credible enough to work effectively with engineering, product and data teams and understand what is realistically achievable.
WHY YOU SHOULD APPLY
The scale is a major part of the opportunity. You’ll be working inside a global consumer business with significant technology and data capability, millions of customer interactions and multiple opportunities to apply AI across both internal operations and customer-facing experiences. Rather than joining a large standalone AI programme, you’ll be part of a small transformation team with the mandate to have an outsized impact. That means genuine ownership, senior exposure and the opportunity to shape how AI is adopted across a significant commercial organisation.
If you’ve been working at the intersection of AI, technology and business transformation and enjoy actually getting things implemented rather than stopping at PowerPoint, I’d be very interested in speaking.
